Tanis, although originally from the Okanagan, spent much of her 20s traveling the world and living in sunny destinations. Her diverse background includes creating large-scale art installations and decor for festivals and pop-up cafes across North and Central America, restaurant management, as well as managing a children's art studio in West Vancouver. Locally, she helped run the Events Department at Sparkling Hill Resort before taking leave to care for her newborn daughter.
